Tomato Chutney (Thakkaali Chutney)

Ingredients:
  1. Tomato - 4 nos
  2. Onion - 4 nos
  3. Garlic - 10 cloves
  4. Ginger - 1 small piece
  5. Curry leaves - 1spring
  6. Dry Chillies - 4
  7. Mustard  - 1 spoon  
  8. Oil - 3 spoon
  9. Salt - to taste
Method:
  1. Heat 1 spoon oil in a large pan.
  2. Add dry chillies, ginger, garlic, onion, tomato one by one and saute till light brown.
  3. Finally add salt and keep aside for some time.
  4. Grind it into a thick paste.
  5. Heat 2 spoons of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leave.
  6. Pour this into the ground tomato chutney.
  7. Serve with Idly, Dosai.
